Vibazone

Dear Vibazoners,

September has come and gone and another month of exciting news has passed.

Apple continues to dominate the smartphone and tablet markets and recently launched the iPhone 5, Now, both Microsoft and Amazon are looking shake up the tablet industry. Amazon launched a whole new line of Kindle devices and Microsoft is set to debut its Windows 8 operating system, which is optimized for tablet devices. While American tech companies have been doing well, traditional Japanese giants, such as Sony and Sharp continue to struggle.

In North America Waterloo, Canada is becoming a start-up hub that may someday rival Silicon Valley. Election campaign season is underway in the United States and President Obama is holding onto a strong lead.

Meanwhile, the economy in Asia is cooling off as China and other major manufacturers are slowing. This in turn is reducing demand for resources from Australia's vast mining industry, threatening the Aussie economy. And in China workers are demanding better pay and working conditions, which will most likely result in upwards pressure.

In other parts of the world, George Soros has announced a major investment in an Ethanol project in Mozambique that could reduce dependency on harmful charcoal stoves for cooking. Syria and Turkey are now on the verge of open war with the Turkish Parliament.

Enjoy,
The Vibazone Team.
